For the exhibition Ode to Amrita Sher-Gil. Masterpieces from Dutch Museums<\/em>, we supported the Drents Museum in bringing together 56 artworks. The selection ranges from paintings and drawings to photography, spanning from the 17th century to the present day.<\/p>

The exhibition offers a Dutch introduction to the work and legacy of Amrita Sher-Gil. Themes such as identity, freedom, connection and love run as a common thread throughout the presentation. Works by artists including Picasso, Rembrandt, Van Gogh, Matisse and Charley Toorop are brought together and enter into dialogue with her ideas.<\/p>

After the original exhibition was cancelled, a new plan was developed in a short time. What makes this project special is how quickly and naturally this collaboration came together.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The challenges<\/h3>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The main challenge was the short timeframe. Within about a week, we organised the full execution together with fourteen museum lenders. Major institutions such as the Van Gogh Museum, Mauritshuis, Boijmans, Kunstmuseum Den Haag and the Amsterdam Museum responded quickly and showed great flexibility.<\/p>

The artworks themselves also required a tailored approach. In a short time, we provided all loans with suitable packaging, partly existing and partly custom-made.<\/p>

One of the highlights was a transport using our low-deck truck for a work by Raquel van Haver. Due to its large size, this was the only suitable vehicle to transport the piece safely.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Once we started, we moved quickly and contacted all involved parties right away. This allowed us to get a clear overview of each lender\u2019s requirements in a short time, including specific packing instructions, transport schedules and courier presence.<\/p>

Based on this, we further developed the plan and set up a tight schedule. Where possible, we combined transports efficiently. This helped us stay in control of both timing and quality.<\/p>

By combining fast coordination, clear communication and a practical approach, we were able to prepare the entire operation within just a few days, without compromising on care.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Despite the time pressure, a strong and well-executed exhibition was realised. The collaboration between all participating museums ran smoothly and was clearly based on trust. Especially under these circumstances, it became clear how important these relationships are.<\/p>

The exhibition not only brings together masterpieces, but also shows how art can connect across time, styles and backgrounds.
