City of Ostend – transport and installation exhibition “The clear view of Joseph Willaert”
The project
The City of Ostend, known for its rich cultural heritage and art initiatives, organized the exhibition “The Clear View of Joseph Willaert” at the Venetian Galleries. Imming Logistics Fine Art was responsible for transports, condition reports and art handling. The project included loans from dozens of Belgian and Dutch lenders. Our team coordinated the transports and followed strict museum standards to safely transport and install the artworks.
The challenges
A major challenge was transporting large-format artwork within a tight schedule. Coordination with various lenders required precise logistics, while condition reports had to be prepared with maximum precision. Couriers accompanied the process, which required extra attention to safety during installation and transportation.
Our plan of action
Once approved, contact was made with the lenders and schedules established. Our art handlers took care of packing and transporting the works, while condition reports were prepared. Dedicated, exclusive transports were performed and couriers accompanied the transports and (de-)installation for added security.
The result
Thanks to careful planning and cooperation, the project went smoothly. The works were safely transported and installed in the Venetian Galleries. This project demonstrates our expertise in the safe packaging, transportation and installation of museum objects, both nationally and internationally.
