Singer Laren | May 22 – August 31, 2025
From 22 May to 31 August 2025, Singer Laren presents the exhibition We Are Nature, inspired by the life philosophy of Princess Irene of the Netherlands. Together with curator Maarten Spruyt and international artists, she invites visitors to rediscover the deep connection between humans and nature.
Nature as a living network
The exhibition features works by, among others, Henrique Oliveira, Jackie Mulder, Tomáš Libertíny, Sun-Hyuk Kim, Tony Matelli, and Tineke van der Pouw Kraan. These artworks offer an intimate view of the interconnectedness of all life and invite reflection on our place within nature. For example, Tineke van der Pouw Kraan’s work reveals a hidden world of underground networks, where bacteria and fungi collaborate with trees and plants: crucial for biodiversity and food supply.
Two additional exhibitions on nature and inspiration
Alongside We Are Nature, the exhibitions Call of Nature and A Garden Path by Marc Mulders are also on view. Call of Nature highlights how artists in the late 19th century sought out the countryside to capture nature, while A Garden Path places the garden at the centre as a symbol of growth and life.
